March ❤

March was a much better month compared to February, and for that, I am very grateful. I started the month with my small routines that make me feel good, like working out consistently and eating healthy. Towards the middle of the month, I took a trip to Colorado with my friends and got to spend quality time with them in nature. This trip was so refreshing and left me feeling hopeful for the rest of the year. When I arrived back in New York, spring seemed to have arrived overnight. I’ve gotten to spend a couple of days outside exploring Brooklyn and enjoying the spring blooms. I’m excited for the next few months even though they are filled with uncertainty.

In

  • skiing…but actually, sledding. I haven’t skied or sledded since middle school, but it was so fun to be outside doing a high adrenaline activity.
  • the cherry blossoms at the brooklyn botanic gardens are slowly blooming and they are beautiful. I really love the transitional times between seasons, they remind me how it is ok to transition between different periods of life and how it is ok to feel different things during different parts of the year!!
  • romanticizing life — kinda building off the last one but it’s fun to be hopeful about the future and romanticize the present ❤
  • film photography is elite and I want to take more pics!!
  • I read the women by kristin hannah in my work book group and it was a really well written entertaining historical romantic fiction story.
  • dune 2 was so much better than dune 1 and I’m glad I went to go see it
  • swell salad bowl kit — been using this every time I bring my salad into work.

Out

  • getting yelled at in the airport — I don’t understand why people behave so wildly different at airports.
  • My period doesn’t usually bother me, but this month it was kind of brutal. I am very grateful that I get it every month, but it is sometimes not fun.
  • apartment hunting in nyc is proving to be quite the hassle and I’m so curious how it’s going to be in the summer.
  • the rain is cramping on my mood these days — bring me more of those gorgeous spring days!!!!!
  • being hard on myself is overrated. Trying to bring in more grace for myself and accepting life for what it is and what is in my control.

Reflections

I love reflecting on my months! March was a very transitional month for me and I am grateful for it. I have some exciting things in April that I’m looking forward to and feel like the work I did in the past few months is directly responsible for those exciting things. Sometimes, slowing down and reflecting can be so good for my mental state and it is something I am proud of doing every single month! Happy spring ❤

March ❤
