5 Drinks for #HotGirlVaxSummer

I’ve never written an article like this, but this one’s gonna be fun. This summer has been a long time coming and I’m determined to make it a fun, memorable summer. I definitely want to preface this by saying that I am grateful for this vaccine because without it, this summer would have probably been a lot more miserable. It’s been a really tough year and I’m excited to see a few more friends and give people hugs without stressing too much.

I’ve been in the mood to find new drinks for the summer, so here are a couple that have been at the top of my list. I’m always in the mood to try new drinks so if you have any, comment them down below. Also, a big shout-out to my roommate who came up with this fantastic idea for an article.

1. Fisher’s Island Lemonade

If I could be an ambassador for this drink I would be. This is hands down my favorite drink ever. It tastes like straight lemonade, but it’s mixed with whiskey and vodka. It’s strong. It’s 9% and it doesn’t taste like it. It’s definitely a dangerous drink but it also hits the spot. I recommend it on a hot summer day at the beach in a nice cold glass with some ice and a straw.

2. Frozen Margarita (any flavor)

I was never a huge fan of the margarita, mostly because I was never a fan of tequila. However, my other roommate recently concocted a very yummy frozen margarita in our blender. A very simple ice, lemonade and tequila mix really packed the punch.

3. Mojito

I love mojitos. I think they are one of the best cocktails ever. Ever since I visited Cuba, I was really hooked onto the mojito. A simple mojito with a ton of fresh mint is such a good summer vibe. It is just so refreshing!

4. Sour Monkey

This is actually a beer, and I don’t usually love beer but this one is so good. It’s definitely a bit sour like it says in the name but it’s sour in a really good way. I don’t totally know how to describe it, but it is definitely one of the more unique flavors of beer I’ve tasted in my life.

5. Downeast Aloha (Pineapple)

Downeast Cider House is one of my all time favorite brands of alcohol ever. Their aloha flavor does not disappoint. In New York, it’s available in all of the Trader Joe’s which is incredibly convenient. A true staple of summer.

I hope everyone has a safe, fantastic summer filled with hugs. You deserve it :)
